The working principle of activated carbon adsorption box
The principle of the activated carbon adsorber to treat organic waste gas is that under a certain temperature and pressure, when the activated carbon is in contact with the organic waste gas, the organic waste gas is adsorbed in the pores of the activated carbon. The adsorption of pollutants in organic waste gas is the main process when the gas and solid phase come into contact. Many micropores of activated carbon are divided into large, medium and small pores. Only micropores are the workhorse of adsorption.
Activated carbon has a microcrystalline structure, and the crystallite arrangement is completely irregular. The crystal has micropores (radius less than 20 angstroms = 10-10 meters), transition pores (radius 20~1000), macropores (radius 1000~10000), large inner surface, and specific surface area of 500~1700m2/g. This determines that activated carbon has good adsorption properties, and can adsorb metal ions, harmful gases, organic pollutants, pigments, etc. in wastewater and exhaust gas. The application of activated carbon in industry also requires greater mechanical strength and good wear resistance, and its structure strives to be stable.
Activated carbon adsorption has the characteristics of large specific surface area, large adsorption capacity, wide source and low price. The activated carbon saturation period is related to the concentration of organic waste gas, working time and adsorption rate, and the replacement period is generally 3-6 months.
Activated carbon adsorption equipment utilizes the strong adsorption capacity of activated carbon to fully contact organic waste gas during the treatment process, effectively solving the problem of ambient air pollution.
